At present, all in-person programs for NCFDP are on hold. Our facility is the Fencing room in Fetzer Gym on the UNC campus. We are waiting for a decision for when outside programs like NCFDP may return to campus and what restrictions for Covid safety will apply. We are hoping that we will have an opportunity for a safe return sooner rather than later. So far however, the only confirmed summer programs are for outdoor sports. We are still offering private/group lessons with Zoom. It looks like one of the first Clubs in our area of NC to return to in-person indoor programs is Apex Fencing Academy in Apex, NC. They have camp programs this summer. I also teach for them, in addition to NCFDP. Currently I am giving individual and group Zoom instruction to their pre-competitive and competitive programs and private Zoom lessons to NCFDP fencers. I am fully vaccinated for Covid with the Pfizer Vaccine. I am hoping we will have a better picture of what will be available in time. I will keep you posted.
